Here's what you can look forward to
- Lead Architectural Vision: Drive the design and evolution of robust, scalable software solutions using Java (Spring Boot), Angular, Ionic, Kubernetes, and Azure
- Collaborate Across Domains: Partner with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into future-proof technical architecture
- Establish and Maintain Standards: Define and uphold architecture blueprints, code quality standards, and engineering best practices
- Technical Coaching & Leadership: Mentor developers, conduct architecture reviews, and encourage a strong engineering culture focused on shared ownership
- Own Non-Functional Qualities: Ensure solutions meet high standards for performance, security, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness
- Architect for the Cloud: Shape cloud-native applications with microservice principles, containerization, and platform automation on Azure
- Support Continuous Delivery: Work closely with DevOps engineers to enable automated CI/CD pipelines, fast feedback loops, and reliable deployment workflows
- Design Event-Driven Systems: Architect and guide the development of event-driven systems, leveraging NATS as a message broker (or comparable technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) to enable loose coupling, responsiveness, and scalability
- Tech Radar & Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and trends; bring forward new tools, patterns, or paradigms that drive product or engineering improvements
- Lifecycle Engagement: Take part in the full Software Development Lifecycle—from discovery and design to implementation and operations—with an eye on long-term sustainability
What we require of you
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Software Architect, with deep knowledge of Java (8+), Spring Framework, and modern microservices and event-driven architectures
- Academic Foundation: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Architecture Expertise: Proven track record as a Software Architect or Lead Engineer building complex, distributed systems
- Strong Java & Spring Background: Deep experience with the Java ecosystem and Spring Boot. You're confident designing and implementing backend services at scale
- Modern Web Know-How: Working knowledge of Angular is a plus, but curiosity and a willingness to dive into the frontend stack is even better
- Cloud-Native Mindset: Solid experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and running services in Azure or similar cloud platforms
- API & Integration Design: Strong grasp of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and asynchronous communication patterns
- DevOps Fluency: Comfortable working with CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code pipelines—close collaboration with DevOps is second nature to you
- Security & Performance Awareness: You incorporate non-functional requirements early in the design, not as an afterthought
- Soft Skills Matter: Excellent communication, empathy, and collaboration skills—you can align people without relying on hierarchy
